This was such a perfect ending to my week, which frankly, was full of "experts" blowing trumpets and handing over trophies to...themselves because they are the "best in the world at what they do". Earlier. today, a well-known B2B "influencer" wrote in his newsletter that his is the "best B2B community that exists" – plain and simple.

Like you, I never studied marketing and don't really see myself as a typical marketer because I just cannot tolerate BS of any kind. But creating content and building community has been a huge part of my work over the last 7 years, so I've been going with the term "organic marketing" to describe what I do/have been doing. Marketing really doesn't have to be gross, but I guess, being gross is the easier thing to do for most marketers.

Thanks for calling and have a great weekend!

PREACH Arpit 🙌 What you said here is exactly it 📢 "Marketing really doesn't have to be gross, but I guess, being gross is the easier thing to do for most marketers."

Thank you so much for reading and replying thoughtfully with your own experiences. The community you're building with data beats is a huge inspiration to me, keep making the good stuff 👏 I'm grateful for other folks like you who are swimming against the tide of influencers and their ego echo chambers.
