Raw, intimate voicemails with Meg, rallying those who crave meaningful connections and seek lasting impact in a noisy world.
Hey, sorry I missed you!
I left my phone in the other room to get a break from the noise when I missed your call.
Lately I’ve been avoiding my phone at all costs.
As soon as my fingers hit the screen I’m drowning in a Niagara Falls level of useless information and it’s not only distracting but completely soul sucking.
I mean, you have to constantly be on guard swatting away ads like Zorro to protect yourself or you’ll simply transform into a Stanley cup.
Don’t get me wrong, I love technology! But as I sit here scrolling mindlessly, my eyeballs starting to sting with boredom, I have this dissatisfied rage bubbling in my brain that you might understand.
How can technology be this advanced and we’re still this bored?
And how can we have the largest entertainment industry ever created and still have every new movie be a poorly done remake or prequel?
What happened to the original and exciting days of the iconic media I grew up with? Movies with original soundtracks and flash game websites with custom cursors?
We used to have personality,
now the world feels oversaturated with sameness.
This may sound delusional, or del-lu-lu as the kids say, but since I was a kid I’ve always felt like I was meant to make something deep.
Not necessarily serious, but deep.
Something that would make people think differently, appreciate their world in a new light, inspire them to make something of their own or at the very least allow them to feel seen.
This feels like my calling, and this why I’m calling you.
This my call for depth in a bottomless sea of notifications and invasive ads.
This is my call for everyone to break free from the monotony of shallow storytelling and nostalgia gimmicks and make something that actually fucking matters.
Make something that moves people to feel something.
Imagine a hyperconnected world that enriches our lives through unique, honest, meaningful expressions of the human experience,
not the commodified sponsored bullshit taking over our lives today.
With all this constant noise it’s no wonder why it’s hard to be noticed, and even harder to be memorable.
Whether it’s a book, a business, a brand, an app, a video game, a theme song, a blueprint, a story. It’s all part of the bigger picture.
A memory.
This is my rallying point for people like us.
People like us whose main goal is to leave the world better and more inspired than we found it.
People like us who are eager to forge meaningful connections that leave a lasting impact in a world drowning in its own noise.
Together, you and me? I think we can sculpt a world worth remembering.
I’m not sure how, but we will.
Okay I’ll get off my soapbox, but seriously, we have to do something about this. I can NOT take another terrible movie remake!!!
Are you in?
Text me your thoughts and that chocolate chip cookie recipe you told me about.
Okay talk soon, byeee!
